1. A director-general-level meeting on the delimitation of maritime boundaries between the Republic of Korea and the People’s Republic of China will take place in Xiamen, China, on January 17 and 18.
※ The ROK and Chinese head delegates to the meeting will be Director-General for International Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bae Jong-in and Ambassador for Yellow Sea Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wang Xiaodu, respectively.
※ The ROK delegation will be composed of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant government agencies, including the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Coast Guard, and the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology.
2. At the upcoming director-general-level meeting, the fifth of its kind following the fourth held in Gyeongju in July 2018, the two sides will discuss in depth the full range of matters pertaining to the delimitation of maritime boundaries between the two countries.
